Meet Daniel McConnachie and his music

Brief Bio & Overview

Composer Daniel McConnachie was born in Toronto, Ontario and educated at Queen’s University, University of Toronto and Boston University. His teachers have included Istvan Anhalt, Clifford Crawley, John Weinzweig, Gustav Ciamaga, John Wallace and Benjamin Berman. From 1980 till 2008 he lived in Newmarket, Ontario, where he was a music teacher with the York Region Board of Education, concluding his career as the Head of Music at Stouffville District Secondary School. He currently lives in Kingston.

Compositions & Playing

I have been composing and arranging music for various educational situations for over 30 years. Since retiring in 2008, my focus has been on works for professional and community ensembles. I am also familiar with computer programs such as Microsoft Office and Finale.
